Clarendon fishermen charged with possession of sea cucumbers without a licence

Five Clarendon fishermen have been arrested and charged with possession of sea cucumbers without a licence.
They were nabbed by members of the Marine Police Division following the seizure of three hundred pounds of sea cucumbers at Welcome Beach in Clarendon on Tuesday afternoon.
Thirty-three year old Paul Henry, 23 year old Marcus Mason, 27 year old Steven Stephens, 22 year old Fitzroy Coleman, and 37 year old Aundrey Watson are scheduled to appear before the St. Catherine Parish Court on March 23.
The police were patrolling the area when they found the cucumbers -which are currently banned from harvesting in Jamaica - in plastic drums aboard a canoe and in a station wagon motor car.
The men were later taken into custody.
