The Clarendon Police have released the names of 10 men who they say are wanted for various crimes committed in the parish.

The men, who are wanted for crimes including murder, robbery and shooting with intent, each have an $80,000 bounty on their heads.

During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, the police appealed to residents who know where they are not to approach them but to call the police.

On the list are:

§         Anthony Scott, 20, otherwise called "Heavy Man" of Effortville wanted for murder

§         Martin Shand, 26, alias "Foggy" of New Longsville wanted for murder and shooting with intent

§         Alphanso Powell who is also known as "Anthony Powell" or "Peenie Paul" wanted for shooting with intent and robbery

§         Alton Gordon of Bunkers Hill wanted for three counts of shooting with intent and illegal possession of a firearm

§         Kent Powell or "Bigga" of Solomon Lane in York Town, wanted for shooting with intent

§         Garfield Augustus wanted for murder

§         Monsel Dyer of Mocho wanted for murder

§         Andrew Smith otherwise called "Rocka" wanted for murder

§         A man known only as "Rup Rup" who is wanted for murder

Deputy Superintendent of Police in charge of Operations in the Division Patrick Murdoch says the men are considered armed and dangerous.

Clarendon has been rocked by a series of murders since the start of the year.

The police believe the capture of these men will put a dent in the level of criminality in the parish.
