A legal showdown is looming between the Office of the Contractor General (OCG) and one of the contractors involved in the Government's controversial $600-million de-bushing programme.
Contractor, Construction Solutions, headed by Vincent Taylor, has initiated proceedings in the Supreme Court challenging the authority of the Contractor General to request information on his personal financial affairs.
Contractor General Dirk Harrison has been meeting with some of the contractors regarding the contracts awarded to them by the National Works Agency (NWA) in the de-bushing programme. However, attorney for Construction Solutions, Chuck Cameron, told RJR News that the company is opposed to the OCG's request. He said such disclosures would be a breach of privacy.
