Commuters in some sections of the Corporate Area were facing additional difficulties in their movement on Tuesday morning, with two major roads having been damaged by heavy rains.
A section of Constant Spring Road, in the vicinity of the Rubis service station, collapsed overnight.
Traffic was reduced to single-lane for a while but was subsequently restored to two lanes.
A section of the intersection of Hagley Park Road and Waltham Park Road has also collapsed, badly disrupting the flow of traffic from Waltham Park Road onto Hagley Park Road, according to Senior Superintendent Calvin Allen, head of the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch.
