Counterfeit shoes worth $120m seized at warehouse on Slipe Road

The Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) on Monday afternoon seized counterfeit sneakers valued at more than $120 million during an operation at a warehouse on Slipe Road in Kingston.
Assistant Superintendent Victor Barrett, head of the Intellectual Property Unit at C-TOC, said the shoes - Nike, Puma, Converse, and Clarks - were found in two 40 ft containers.
ASP Barrett again urged persons not to purchase counterfeit items, warning that there could be health risks based on the chemicals used to make them.
