Prime Minister Andrew Holness, speaking at a Jamaica House Town Hall meeting in London

Prime Minister Andrew Holness has admitted the authorities might have to review their crime-fighting strategy in Denham Town, Kingston, amid continued bloodletting in the Zone of Special Operations (ZOSO).

Mr. Holness told a Jamaica House Town Hall meeting in London on Friday that the zones of special operations are working but there are still some challenges.

"The Mount Salem Zone of Special Operations...that is working very well. The other one in Denham Town, that is giving us some challenges and we have to take a second look at the strategy as it is employed there," he said.

Since last month, there have been six shootings in Denham Town resulting in five fatalities.

The latest incident occurred on Pink Lane on Friday morning when a man was shot and killed.

On Friday morning, National Security Minister Dr. Horace Chang told RJR News that the operational strategy for ZOSO is still in tact and valid.
