Cuba gets full internet access

Cubans will have access to full internet service effective today (Thursday, December 6).
Earlier this week, Mayra Arevich, President of the Cuban state telecom monopoly, said Cubans who have only had access to state-run email accounts on their phones, can now begin contracting 3G service for the first time.
The Cuban government has been building a 3G network in cities across the country and some tourists, Cuban government officials and foreign business people have had access to it for several years.
