Dexter Street gang members to appear in court today

Seventeen members of the Westmoreland-based Dexter Street gang, including women, are to appear in court Wednesday afternoon to answer charges of breaching the anti-gang legislation.
 
Thirteen members of the gang were picked up during an operation conducted in Westmoreland on May 4 by the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (C-TOC).
 
Other gang members, including four women, were later arrested and charged.
 
Assistant Commissioner Fitz Bailey, head of C-TOC, said the gang is linked to 17 murders and 27 shootings in 2017, and 22 murders and several shootings since the start of the year. 
 
The Westmoreland Police have listed seven more men as wanted.
 
They are linked to criminal gangs in the parish.
 
ACP Bailey said the men are from Savanna-la-Mar. 
 
They are: Raphael Robinson, otherwise called ‘Bossy’; Dwayne Moore, otherwise called ‘Boogsie’; Selah Tomlinson, otherwise called ‘Gee Gee’; Kadeem Gokhul; Glenroy Gayle, otherwise called ‘Elephant’ and George Patterson, otherwise called ‘Cruise’.
 
Shadane Robinson, otherwise called ‘Gargon’, who is believed to be the leader of the Dexter Street gang, is also wanted.
