Education Ministry launches early-childhood master teacher programme

The Ministry of Education has embarked on a Zone Leader Master Teachers Programme, designed to identify and address leadership challenges at the early-childhood level.
The initiative, which was launched on Monday, is being undertaken jointly with the Early Childhood Commission and the US Embassy.
It will provide peer support for more than 10,000 practitioners.
Education Minister Ruel Reid said the programme will address various leadership issues through mentorship, coaching and a range of  other best practices.
He explained that the programme will train teachers at the early-childhood level to master their craft and better educate infants through the Brain Builders programme.
