The employee at the centre ofthe major fraud at the Accountant General's Department has confessed to the racket.
Julio Parkinson told Senior Magistrate Judith Pusey that he stole millions of dollars from the accounts of deceased pensioners.
Parkinson who appeared before the Corporate Area Criminal Court, told the magistrate he was responsible for the fraud and his co-workers were not involved.
Parkinson said he used busy periods at the office to slip life certificates to his supervisors to sign. He said they signed, not knowing it was forged.
Parkinson decided to confess after one of his supervisors was charged and brought before the court on Friday.
Roxanne Crosdale was charged on Thursday. After hearing his confession, Pusey offered bail to the other six accused.
Parkinson is to return on December 30 when he is expected to formally plead guilty. He's accused of stealing J$21 million from the accounts of deceased pensioners.
