Farmer killed by lightning in St. Elizabeth

Forty-four year old farmer, Ken Daley of Whitehall in St Elizabeth, was killed by lightning on his farm on Tuesday.

According to the police, he was at his farm with two other farmers about 2:00 p.m. when it began to rain. Mr Daley, who was wearing several chains, was struck by lightning. His neck and other parts of his body were badly burned.

The police were called and he was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
