The operating theatre damaged by fire at Princess Margaret Hospital
Investigators from Kingston are heading to the scene of Monday morning's fire at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Morant Bay, St. Thomas.
The investigation team will need to carry out its assessment before clean up exercises can commence.
The fire started shortly before 2 o'clock inside a doctor's office in the operating theatre. It has resulted in the operating theatre being temporarily out of use.
The fire damaged equipment including a computer and files, while four persons were treated for smoke inhalation.
