Flash Flood Watch again extended for all parishes

Jamaica should brace for more showers for at least the next twelve hours as the Meteorological Service has extended the Flash Flood Watch.

It will remain in effect until 5:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The watch is in effect for low-lying and flood prone areas of all parishes.

The Meteorological Service says a trough remains in the vicinity of Jamaica and weather conditions across the island will remain unstable.

Satellite imagery and radar reports indicate that light to moderate showers affected most parishes today.

According to the Meteorological Service, showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, are expected to continue affecting sections of most parishes this weekend.

It says flash flooding is therefore still possible over some low-lying and flood-prone areas.
