American boxer Floyd Mayweather has regained his title in the Forbes rankings of the world's top 100 earning athletes.
He earned US$275 million for his boxing match in August against UFC star Conor McGregor, who is number four with US$99 million on the US business magazine's list.
Cristiano Ronaldo - who was atop for the past two years - drops to third with US$108 million, with Lionel Messi edging him out of second place with US$111 million.
There are no women on the list, after the previous sole entrant, Serena Williams, dropped out of the chart.
The top 100 athletes earned a total of US$3.8 billion, up 23% from last year.
Others in the top 10 are football superstar Neymar da Silva Santos Jr. with US$90 million, basketball great LeBron James US$85.5 million, tennis star Roger Federer US$77.2 million and Golden States golden boy Steph Curry with US$76.9 million.
