Former councilor for Cedar Valley division offered bail

Former Councillor for the Cedar Valley division in St Thomas, Deverel Dwyer, who is charged with sexual misconduct involving a minor, was offered bail in the sum of  $1- million when he appeared in the St. Thomas Parish Court yesterday. 

He is to return to court on March 20.During the bail hearing, the defence presented a report on Dwyer's health. 
A doctor, who gave evidence, said Dwyer has a degenerative disease. 
Defence attorney, Hensley Williams, told the court that Dwyer returned to Jamaica aware that there was a warrant for his arrest.
Dwyer was picked on January 26 when he arrived at the Norman Manley International Airport.
Radio Jamaica News was informed that the former Councillor and a policeman were involved with the minor, who became pregnant
