Former Jamaican boxing champion killed in Atlanta

A former Jamaican boxing champion was shot and killed in an apparent robbery attempt yesterday in southwest Atlanta.  
 
According to police, 41-year-old O'Neil Bell and another man were robbed after getting off  a bus just after midnight. The police found a man shot in the hip and Mr. Bell lying in the street. He was pronounced dead.
 
The surviving victim, a 28-year-old man, was transported to hospital.Investigators believe the suspects committed a car-jacking at a Walmart elsewhere in Atlanta.
 
Authorities said property from the car-jacked vehicle was found at the scene of  Mr. Bell's murder. O'Neil 'SuperNova' Bell, was a former cruiser weight world boxing champion.
