Ferlando McCoon, the former National Commercial Bank (NCB) employee who is wanted by the US government for lottery scamming, was remanded Wednesday when he appeared before the St. Andrew Parish Court.
Mr. McCoon, who is represented by attorney Peter Champagnie, was arrested in Westmoreland two weeks ago on an extradition warrant.
US prosecutors reportedly applied for his extradition following the arrest of several members of a lottery scam network in the US.
US authorities have reportedly labelled Mr. McCoon a major player in the lottery scam.
He is wanted to stand trial on charges of mail and wire fraud in Arizona.
In court Wednesday, Mr. Champagnie requested more time to review the documents submitted by the US authorities for his extradition.
Mr. McCoon is to return to court on Wednesday.
