Former PM reappointed UTECH Chancellor

Former Prime Minister Edward Seaga has been reappointed Chancellor of  the University of  Technology (UTECH). the Chancellor, is the head f the institution.
He will serve for an additional three years until November 6, 2020.  
A statement from the university says the Chancellor was reappointed by the Cabinet on the recommendation of  the University Council.
His duties include presiding over at least one meeting of  the Council annually, the conferring of  degrees, diplomas, certificates as well as other academic distinctions and awards.
Edward Seaga served as Prime Minister of Jamaica from November 1980 to February 1989.
