Further postponement for repair of pipeline on Mandela Highway

Customers in the Corporate Area will now have to wait until May before the supply of water returns to normal.

The National Water Commission (NWC) has revealed that the March timeline to replace a major pipe line recently damaged along Mandela Highway will be missed.

Sections of the Corporate Area have been experiencing reduced water pressure or have been without water since a major break along the pipeline on December 8.

The transmission main, which is located in the vicinity of  Ferry, supplies five million gallons of  water to the Corporate Area daily.
