Water restrictions in large sections of the Jamaican capital have been tightened further, as catchment facilities continue to be affected by the decline in rainfall.
The National Water Commission (NWC) announced on Wednesday that customers served by the Hope Water Treatment Plant in St Andrew will see changes to the hours they receive supplies. Papine will be supplied from 4:00am to 12:00pm while Gordon Town and Kintyre will get water from 4:00am to 12:00pm on alternate days.
The University of the West Indies will be supplied from 4:00am to 8:00 pm and Mona Heights as well as August Town from 4:00am to 9:00am and 4:00pm to 8:00pm.
Liguanea residents will get water from 4:00am to 4:00pm, while Beverly Hills will receive the commodity from 4:00am to 12:00pm. Hope Pastures will be supplied from 4:00am to 12pm on alternate days.
