Garveyite - Frank Gordon laid to rest

The funeral for noted historian and Garveyite Frank Gordon was held on Saturday at the Holy Trinity Cathedral on North Street in downtown Kingston.

Gordon, 90, died at his home on March 4. He would have celebrated his 91st birthday on March 22.

Frank Gordon who was born on Love Lane in downtown Kingston in 1922  was a student of the Rt. Excellent Marcus Garvey.

He was a leading advocate for the continued teachings of the philosophies and opinions of Marcus Garvey and was also an active member of the 1938 labour movement that changed the landscape for industrial relations in Jamaica.
