Health Minister, Dr. Fenton Ferguson will be heading a delegation to Cuba on Thursday for discussions with representatives of that country’s government.
Assistance with Jamaica’s Ebola monitoring and response preparedness is expected to be one of the key issues on the agenda.
The meeting follows preliminary discussions between Prime Minister, Portia Simpson Miller and Cuban President, Raul Castro.
The government says Cuba has been approached to train and prepare local health personnel as well as other stakeholders.
