Dr. Christopher Tufton

The Health Ministry has ordered more vehicles and foggers as it steps up efforts to eradicate the mosquitoes which spread dengue.

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton said the disease continues to be a big challenge and the country should continue to remain on alert even as the ministry tries its best to address the situation.

Dr. Tufton told RJR News he was unable to provide an update on the number of people who have died as a result of dengue.

He said the ministry is continuing to urge Jamaicans to play their part in helping to reduce the number of dengue cases.
