Sergeant Patrae Rowe
There are more problems regarding the new location of the Criminal Records Office on Orange Street in downtown Kingston.
The Ministry of Health has reportedly raised concerns about the building being occupied.
This was disclosed Tuesday afternoon by Sergeant Patrae Rowe, Chairman of the Police Federation.
"The Kingston and St. Andrew health inspectors visited the building today and they have confirmed the observation that we have made, and have made public over the last few days. They have confirmed that there is still a challenge with the circulation of fresh air in the building and that the non-functioning central air system does not present an ideal or tenable situation for anybody to occupy the building," he revealed.
He said health officials are considering whether to close the building.
