The police are investigating an incident at a house in Horizon Park, Santa Cruz, St. Elizabeth which led to the death of a woman, and a man being hospitalised on Wednesday. It is suspected to be a case of poisoning.
RJR News can also report that the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the incident as a police officer is being investigated.
It's alleged that gunmen broke into the house and forced the couple to consume a powdery substance.
The couple then ran from the house, called out for help, and was taken to hospital by neighbours.
