Jamaican pleads guilty for lottery scamming in the US

Another Jamaican has pleaded guilty in the US for her role in the Jamaica-based lottery scheme.
    
The Department of Justice on Wednesday announced that Felecia Roxanne Lindo, 32, who resided in New York, pleaded guilty in the Western District of North Carolina to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
    
Lindo, who has dual citizenship, will be sentenced at a later date.   
    
She pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud with enhanced penalties for telemarketing.
    
As part of her plea, Lindo acknowledged that from about 2011 until about September 2012, she was a member of a conspiracy that targeted victims in the United States.
    
Victims received a telephone call stating that they had won money in a sweepstakes or lottery.
