Jamaican sentenced to US prison for violating federal firearm law

A Jamaican man was yesterday sentenced in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to 14 months imprisonment and three years of  supervised release on his conviction of  violating a federal firearm law.

He has been identified as 35 year old Kevin Ruddock.

According to information presented to a federal court, in May 2018 Ruddock was found with a handgun, along with 123 rounds of  ammunition.

It was revealed that the Jamaican was admitted into the United States on a non-immigrant visa.

He was under investigation based on suspicion that he entered into a fraudulent marriage.
