JCF to shakeup senior ranks

RJR News has received word that there is to be a shake-up in the senior ranks of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

According to JCF insiders this is part of a strategic move to curtail the increase in murders and other major crimes.

It is expected that the shake-up will involve transfers. There will also be additional anti-crime initiatives. Several senior police personnel are to take up new operational duties islandwide.

It's understood that National Security Minister Robert Montague and Police Commissioner Dr. Carl Williams met last week to discuss several issues, including the spate of murders.

When contacted, Mr. Montague directed RJR News to the Police Commissioner.
