The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has corrected the problem which was causing daily power outages in Santa Cruz and surrounding areas in St. Elizabeth.
The problem affected business owners and householders for two years.
Norval Bullock, JPS Parish Manager for Westmoreland and St. Elizabeth, says the network has been reconfigured and residents have been seeing an improvement since September.
The disclosure was made Thursday at the monthly meeting of the St. Elizabeth Municipal Corporation.
Mr. Bullock also stated that Black River is now being served by power stations in St. Elizabeth and Westmoreland to ensure that the Black River Hospital is not affected by load shedding.
