Cecil Thoms, Communication Manager at the JUTC
The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has cut fares in half for its annual 'Night Hawk' service along specified routes for the festive season.
In a newspaper advertisement earlier this month, the State-owned bus company said fares charged after midnight would be adjusted.
It said adults would be required to pay $200, children, $60 and seniors, $80.
However, the JUTC's Corporate Communication Manager Cecil Thoms says, in the spirit of the Christmas season, the company has decided to cut these prices, with adults now being asked to pay $100, children, $30 and seniors, $40.
The 'Night Hawk' service will be available from 11 p.m. until 2 a.m. It will also be available on Boxing Day, December 26, from 11 p.m. to 12 midnight.
On New Year's Eve, the service will be available from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.
