The key prosecution witness in the trial of Tesha Miller testified Thursday afternoon that the murder of former Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) boss, Douglas Chambers, was a contract killing.
The witness, who is now in prison for murder, told the jury that Miller informed him at a meeting that a contract was issued for the murder of Mr. Chambers.
He also testified that Miller told him that Andre "Blackman" Bryan, who fatally shot the JUTC Managing Director, was placed on a boat and sent to Cayman.
Mr. Chambers was shot dead at the gate of the JUTC depot in Spanish Town on June 27, 2008.
