Man allegedly of unsound mind in custody for setting house on fire

A man who is said to be of unsound mind was taken into police custody on Thursday evening after it is alleged that he set a house on fire in Albion, St. Thomas.
According to the police, the man who is the son of the home owner and resides at the house, was home alone about 3:30 p.m.
He damaged several items of furniture before setting the house on fire.
Neighbours saw smoke and called the fire department.
One unit from the Yallahs fire station responded.
The damage is estimated at $3 million.
The building was insured.
