Man charged in relation to cocaine bust at NMIA

The Narcotics Police have charged a 26 year-old man in connection with a cocaine bust at the Norman Manley International Airport.
He is Taphari Mitchell, an events planner of Toll Gate, Clarendon.
Mr. Mitchell was arrested on Sunday when the cops stopped him at the airport and reportedly seized more than eight pounds of cocaine in his luggage.
He was preparing to board a Caribbean Airlines' flight to Trinidad when the cops found the cocaine in three parcels labelled "Dairy Milk Powder" in his suitcase.
The cocaine has a street value of nearly $10 million.
Mr. Mitchell is booked to appear before the St. Andrew Parish Court on Friday.
