The man who was arrested and charged in connection with the murder of British national Karen Cleary-Brown is to appear before the St. Mary Parish Court next month.
Sheldon Hewitt, 32, of Boscobel in St. Mary was remanded when he appeared before the court on Friday.
He was arrested following inconsistencies detected in the missing person's report that he filed at Oracabessa police station in relation to the deceased.
These inconsistencies led the officers to widen their investigation which resulted in a search of Mrs Cleary Brown's home in Boscobel.
During that search her decomposing body was found in a shallow grave on December 3.
