The autopsy which was conducted on the body of a man which was found in a pit on the weekend on Salt River Road in Longville Park, Clarendon has revealed that he died from chop wounds.
The autopsy was conducted on Sunday.
The police say the body, which was decomposed, is believed to be that of 38 year old Anthony Jackson of Central Village, St. Catherine.
Mr. Jackson's family said he disappeared in the area last week while hunting for crabs.
On Thursday, the police were called after residents were alerted by a foul odour coming from a pit behind an unfinished house.
