Man sought in relation to gun salute in St. Elizabeth turns himself in

A man who was being sought by the St. Elizabeth Police in connection with a gun salute on Boxing Day last year has turned himself in.

The man went to the police on Wednesday in the company of his attorney.

It was reported that a dance was in progress in Balaclava in the early hours of December 26, when the man was observed discharging a firearm into the air.

He was accosted by the police and during a struggle, a Beretta pistol with a magazine containing four rounds was taken from him.

The man managed to escape.
