Medical technologists strike

St. Patrice Ennis, General Secretary of UTASP
Medical technologists are now on strike.
They have been off the job since Monday morning.
St. Patrice Ennis, General Secretary of the Union of Technical, Administrative and Supervisory Personnel (UTASP), said the strike was triggered by a four-year dispute.
He said the medical technologists have been sending complaints since 2014 to Ministry of Health and various other government entities regarding the mistreatment of a new director, who has now been installed.
According to Mr. Ennis, the complaints have been ignored and this has led to the strike.
