The two men charged with the fatal shooting of a three year old girl in Annotto Bay, St Mary, were offered bail on Thursday.
Odaine White, 19, and Roger Bagnal, 21, were each offered bail in the sum of $600,000 following an application by defence attorney Hugh Wildman before the St. Mary Parish Court.
Mr. Wildman told the judge that the two accused are persons of good character, adding that the case submitted by investigators was weak and lacked credibility.
Both men are to return to court on June 21 to answer charges of murder and illegal possession of a firearm.
They were charged on Tuesday following a probe into last month's killing of Kelecia Matthews, otherwise called "Pooka" in Annotto Bay.
It was reported that on February 14, the little girl was walking home with her stepfather when she was shot.
Residents have been protesting the arrest and charge of the two men.
