Minor earthquake felt in sections of Jamaica

A minor earthquake was felt across several parishes Thursday morning.
 
The tremor occurred about 6:45.
 
A preliminary report from the Earthquake Unit at the University of the West Indies, Mona, said it had a magnitude of 4.2 with depth of 26.6 kilometers.
 
The epicentre was just west of Guy's Hill, on the border of St. Ann and St. Catherine.
 
The quake was reportedly felt in Clarendon, St. Ann, Kingston, St. Mary, Portland, St. Andrew and St. Catherine. 
 
There has been no report of damage caused by the earthquake.
