More Jamaicans for Canada farm work programme

The Ministry of Labour and Social Security is reporting that more Jamaicans have secured jobs on farms in Canada.

Over 100 farm workers will leave the island Thursday to take up jobs.

They will be addressed Wednesday afternoon by Derrick Kellier, Minister of Labour and Social Security.

The Ministry said the send-off marks continuing efforts to take advantage of employment opportunities overseas, as well as to expand the scope of the Canadian Overseas Farm/Factories Programme.
