More staff changes coming to Education Ministry

Additional staff changes are coming at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information following the recent appointment of an acting Permanent Secretary.
 
Dr. Grace McLean, who was Chief Education Officer, assumed the duties of Permanent Secretary effective February 14. She replaced Dean-Roy Bernard, who has been re-assigned to the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service as Director General.
 
Education Minister Ruel Reid said State Minister Alando Terrelonge will have an expanded role in the Ministry.
 
His portfolio responsibilities will include: the Child Protection and Family Services Agency, National Parenting Support Commission, Children's Homes, Youth Programmes, the Broadcasting Commission, Digital Switch Over, the Values and Attitude Programme as well as Safety and Security in Schools.
