Mother in latest child beating video reports to police

It has been revealed that the mother who is seen beating and threatening her daughter in the latest child abuse video to hit social media, reported to the Whithorn Police Station in Westmoreland on Saturday after realising the video was in the public domain.
   
Superintendent Lanford Salmon, head of the Westmoreland Police, said she is not in custody.
   
He told RJR News the the police are still conducting investigations, but that a meeting scheduled for Monday afternoon will determine whether the woman will be charged.
 
The National Parenting Support Commission (NPSC) has intervened in the case.
   
Kaysia Kerr, Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, told RJR News that the woman has been receiving counselling from the organisation.
