National Security Minister condemns killing of 8 yr old visitor

  National Security Minister Peter Bunting has condemned the murder of eight-year-old, Imani Green in the northern parish of Trelawny.          
 Reports are that Imani, a British national who was on the island visiting relatives, was standing at a bar with family members late Friday when a lone gunman opened fire hitting her in the head and shoulder.
She was taken to the Falmouth Hospital in the parish where she died while undergoing treatment.
 Three other persons were also injured during the incident, they are Nadra Linton, otherwise called Pinky,  Renaldo Hyatt and Christine Hyatt-Thorpe . They have been admitted to hospital in stable condition.  
At the helm of the investigation is Assistant Commissioner of Police, Devon Watkis who said the police are maintaining a strong presence in the area.   The British High Commission has been briefed, and the Police Chaplain has visited the family to provide grief counseling and support.
