NCC moves contract registration period to 18 months

The National Contracts Commission, NCC is advising that effective October 1, the registration period for all government procuring entities and contracting firms will be increased from 12 to 18 months.

This relates to those wishing to be registered or re-registered as  works contractors, grades one to four or suppliers of goods and services.

The new period will apply to all contractors whose registration expires or expired after March 31 this year and includes those contractors who have currently applied for re-registration.

The NCC notes that the extended period will not apply to contractors whose applications are being investigated by the Office of the Contractor General or who have been referred to the Central Investigation Bureau.                                                 -
