No immediate change to business hours in St. James

The police high command has signaled that there is no immediate plan to revise the closing hours for businesses during the State of Emergency in St James.

Earlier this week the parliamentary opposition raised concern about inconsistencies in the closing hours for small and large businesses in the parish.

Assistant Commissioner Ealan Powell, head of Strategic Operations in the State of Emergency in St James, was asked by RJR News whether the hours will be revised.

“The hours are what they are and we’re asking the people to abide by them,” was his curt response.
