Users of the East-West leg of Highway 2000 are to be spared an increase in the toll this year.
TransJamaican Highway, which operates the highway, says the company is in a position to forgo a rate increase, due next month, given certain factors.
These include the exchange rate, the consumer price index and other input variables specific to its operations.
This is the second time that the highway concessionaire has announced that there will be no across the board movement in toll rates.
The first time was in 2010.
TransJamaican Highway says maintenance and developments will continue as scheduled, despite the decision not to raise toll charges.
