No traffic changes for Kanye West concert

The police have indicated that there will be no traffic changes in the Corporate Area as preparations get underway for Friday evening's staging of Kanye West's pop-up Sunday Service at Emancipation Park in St. Andrew.
 
However, parking will be restricted along Oxford Road and Knutsford Boulevard.  
 
Limited parking will be available, at a cost, at the National Housing Trust parking lot and the Golf Academy.
 
Four additional designated parking areas will be made available by the Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation along St. Lucia Avenue in New Kingston free of cost.
 
Ground commander for the event Senior Superintendent Terrence Bent said there will be increased police presence to facilitate free movement of traffic.
 
The authorities are bracing for a large crowd to converge on the location for the event, which starts at 7 p.m., is open to the public.
