Acting Commissioner of Police Novelette Grant has confirmed a report by RJR News that she intends to submit an application for the top post in the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
Ms. Grant says she has 35 years experience, with an outstanding record of integrity and performance.
Speaking at a news conference Wednesday morning, the acting commissioner said her focus for the next 90 days will be to re-energise the police force. She says she intends to restore internal order and accountability.
