Nurses, gov't reach wage agreement

Carmen Johnson

The Nurses Association of Jamaica (NAJ) and the Ministry of Finance have reached a wage settlement.

An agreement is to be signed at the Ministry Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock.

In an interview with RJR News earlier this week, NAJ President Carmen Johnson said issues which delayed an agreement - such as the appointment of members, training and transportation at nights for nurses who work in volatile areas - had been settled.
