Following a two year setback, the National Works Agency (NWA) says the Ward River Bridge in Port Morant, St. Thomas is to be completed by September.
During a meeting with stakeholders on Thursday the NWA said the delay was due to outstanding issues.
Work on the $56.7 million bridge started in February 2016 and should have been completed in six months.
The project will involve the demolition of the bridge and construction of approach roads.
The new bridge will facilitate two lanes of traffic, as well as sidewalks.
